Your Purchase.

Your telephone purchase unless otherwise stated in the description operates on a ‘pulse dial (loop disconnect)’ telephone line (unless stated in the description). This is the method of dialing where each number is converted to 'clicks' or pulses. Currently some of BT exchanges still support pulse dialing but other service providers do not. It is your responsibility to research prior to purchasing a telephone as whether or not your telephone line/provider supports pulse dialing.
If it does not then get in touch and we may be able to help prior to you purchasing your chosen telephone. We can install a ‘pulse to tone’ module to 98% of our dial telephones prior to posting to alleviate this issue at an extra cost of £40 (prices may change, please see website for current cost).
* If you discover that your telephone line does not support 'Pulse Dialling and you wish to return the telephone to us then you are responsible for the total cost of returning the item to us and the initial cost of posting the item to you.
* Please note all telephones must be plugged into a socket/broadband filter/adapter with a ring capacitor to allow the telephone to ring and prevent broadband interference.

Having purchased a telephone from ‘Ronnie Retro’, on its delivery you agree to un-pack the item carefully and retain all packing and read the enclosed instructions and user guide to test your telephone.
If for some reason you do not wish to keep your purchase (if your telephone line does not support 'Pulse Dialling' then see paragraph *) you have fourteen days from the date of purchase to contact us by e-mail, telephone or letter to inform us of your decision to return the item to us for a refund.
You will be responsible for the return postage and this will not be refunded to you. Please ensure it is well packed with its original packing it came with (where possible), as you are responsible for any damage during its return journey to our workshop as a result of incorrect packing.
On receiving the telephone we will open and inspect it and if it arrives undamaged we will issue a full refund of the purchase price (not including the return postal charge paid by you) within 7 days of receipt to the original payment method you used when purchasing the item.
Guarantee
As your telephone is a vintage item the length of your guarantee period is clearly stated in the item description and the paper work you received on its delivery. It is for a period of/from 3,6 or 12 months, (unless indicated on the listing or on the enclosed paperwork) from date of purchase. The guarantee is only honoured to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Please retain all paperwork, your unique guarantee card and packaging for your telephone on its arrival.
Should you be unfortunate to experience a problem with your telephone we are available for guidance either by video chat, e-mail or telephone. If in the unlikely event your telephone needs to be returned to us for repair you are responsible for the postage cost and if the relevant problem is covered by the guarantee we will repair/replace the part(s) and return the telephone back to you free of charge.
Your guarantee covers the telephones internal workings both electrical and mechanical. This includes dial, circuit board, hook switches, hand set receiver and transmitter. It does not cover handset or body cases be it plastic, wood, bakelite, metal or external cables such as handset cords or line cords.
No guarantee repairs will be undertaken if proof of purchase and the original guarantee card is not available to view.
Any attempt to adjust, tamper, alter or change the telephone in anyway internally or externally will invalidate the guarantee.
If any internal components are fitted by Ronnie Retro from another supplier such as a pulse to tone module your guarantee is limited to the period of time from the date of purchase on the said component(s).
Your guarantee is not transferable and it is issued to the original purchaser of the telephone and the carrier of the original guarantee card.
If your service providers technology should change/upgrade in the future and pulse dial telephone lines are to be terminated and/or your service provider upgrades their exchanges or services and as a result your purchase from Ronnie Retro ceases to operate with your service provider be it a pulse dial or tone dial telephone this is out of our control and this will not be covered by your guarantee.
We will do our best to assist you in keeping your telephone functioning and may be able to maintain this should components become available to extend the use of your telephone. This will incur a charge for parts, labour and postage.
Information
All telephones are genuine used vintage items and have been renovated and adapted to function safely on current pulse dial or DTMF telephone lines (where indicated in the description).
During the life of each telephone items/components may have been altered and adapted prior to us receiving the telephone in our workshop.
This may include parts that have been updated or replaced as part of the telephone suppliers/manufacturers refurbishment program during its lifetime. The date indicated in the listing as to the year of manufacture is to be used as a guide only.
We try to maintain the originality of all the telephones we sell but as we do not know the history of each telephone it is down to our knowledge and research as to what is or was original to the aforementioned telephone.
Any replacement parts will be sourced by us to allow the telephone to function but they may not be of the exact same year of production of the part it is replacing or be original to that particular telephone.
Certain components may have to be removed from a telephone completely for us to renovate and rectify the telephone to a desired level to maintain functionality and deem it safe to use.
